NCL 10-Year Program Review and Symposium

The Nanotechnology Characterization Laboratory (NCL) was founded September 13, 2004 as a formal partnership among NCI, FDA, and NIST. The NCL was created to help fill a translational gap in the preclinical characterization of nanomedicines for the fight against cancer. Now in its lOth year, the NCL has helped more than 80 nanotech researchers from around the globe, spanning research entities from academia and small biotech companies to large pharmaceutical companies and government entities. From these 80 projects, seven have advanced into human clinical trials.
