International Open Access Week Logo

The Scientific Library invites the NCI at Frederick scientific community to join us in observing INTERNATIONAL OPEN ACCESS WEEK 2014, Monday, October 20 - Friday, October 24. INTERNATIONAL OPEN ACCESS WEEK is an opportunity for the academic and research community to learn about the potential benefits of Open Access, which is the free, immediate, online access to the results of scholarly research, and the right to use and re-use those results as needed. The WEEK is designed to help inspire wider participation in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research.

During this week the Library staff will host two events, including a webinar about open access and a live, multi-presenter program about both open and public access, plus informational emails and handouts on the topics. We encourage all NCI at Frederick staff to participate in these educational events.
