Personal Protective Equipment

A revised policy for FNL Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is now in place at the Frederick National Laboratory (FNL). The new policy provides for a minimum level of PPE in all FNL laboratories and animal facilities. The policy is easy to understand and is easy to enforce by the supervisor. The new policy eliminates any question about the minimum level of PPE. Supervisors can and should increase PPE requirements when appropriate. Compliance with this policy will prevent injuries to our employees, notably eye injuries.
