Background

There are currently several, disparate methods available for requesting services from NCI at Frederick and/or FNLCR service providers. (Many users will be familiar with the CSAS and YellowTask systems that are currently in use at the NCI at Frederick and FNLCR.)

While these separate systems have been largely successful in meeting the requirements of individual service providers and customer groups, the dissimilarities among individual systems have led to an inconsistent user experience and difficulties in reporting across service areas.

The goal of this project is to analyze the requirements, develop, and implement a facility-wide accessioning system.

Approach

The project team is taking a “COTS-first” approach, in which an RFI (“Request for Information”) will be developed in order to gauge the availability of an existing commercial-off-the-shelf product to meet these requirements. The results of the RFI effort will inform the next phases of the project.
