Getting to NIH

ON SATURDAY the main Visitor Gateway is closed, so visitors should enter via the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Facility (CVIF Building 67), located on Rockville Pike. If you are arriving by metro, turn left onto Rockville Pike and walk down to the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Facility. If arriving by car, visitors gain entry into the CVIF traveling southbound on Rockville Pike.

Visitors to NIH will be required to show one (1) form of identification (a government-issued photo ID-driver's license, passport, green card, etc.) and to state the purpose of their visit.

Once you have cleared security follow the signs to Natcher Auditorium.

Please note: visitor parking is limited at NIH. Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation such as the Metrorail subway system which has a convenient stop (Medical Center) on the NIH campus.
