HIV Drug Resistance Program Conference on “Virus Structure: Putting the Pieces Together”
October 21, 2014
National Cancer Institute at Frederick
Building 549 Conference Center
We are pleased to announce that the HIV Drug Resistance Program Conference on "Virus Structure: Putting the Pieces Together" will be held at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) campus in Frederick, Maryland, on October 21 from 1:00 to 5:45 p.m.
The HIV Drug Resistance Program is hosting this half-day conference to showcase the latest findings on the structural biology of viruses, with a particular emphasis on imaging macromolecular structures and deciphering how viral and host proteins interact to mediate pathogenesis. Exploring new technologies that enhance the sensitivity of imaging systems will provide valuable information about the structure and dynamics of macromolecular assemblies to aid the design of more effective antiviral therapies.
Invited speakers in the outstanding program include Angela Gronenborn (University of Pittsburgh), Owen Pornillos (University of Virginia), Erica Ollmann Saphire (The Scripps Research Institute), Jacek Skowronski (Case Western Reserve University), Joseph Sodroski (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute), and Michael Summers (HHMI/University of Maryland, Baltimore County).
Registration is free, but preregistration is necessary as seating is limited.
We hope you will be able to join us on October 21 at the HIV Drug Resistance Program Conference on "Virus Structure: Putting the Pieces Together."
