The Microbiome: Host Response to Disease
May 5, 2014
Building 549 Auditorium;
The National Interagency Confederation for Biological Research (NICBR) proudly presents a symposium on The Microbiome: Host Response to Disease in conjunction with the 2014 NICBR Spring Research Festival, starting at 8:30am on May 5, 2014, in the NCI Conference Center Auditorium (Building 549). Applications to make a 15 minute oral presentation at the symposium are encouraged from all post-doctoral fellows, post-baccalaureates, technical staff, and graduate students from all of the NCIBR partners that cover the full spectrum of current research activities. All applicants must pre-register for the symposium and submit an abstract of their talk. Speakers will be chosen based solely on their scientific merit, and not on whether their work has a direct or indirect association with the microbiome. Submissions will be accepted until close of business on Monday March 31, 2014, to choose the speakers, and if necessary, encourage others to submit for a poster session and poster-blitz presentation. Applications will only be accepted from persons currently working at the NICBR partner agencies associated with Fort Detrick and NCI at Frederick.
Awards for best presentation will be announced at the NICBR SRF Awards Ceremony. Post-doctoral, post-baccalaureate fellows and technical support in the NICBR community are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts of the talks they would like to give as soon as possible, but no later than March 31, 2014. Those accepted for presentation will be announced by April 21st, giving speakers two weeks to finalize their slides.
See you May 5th.
