Tissue microarays allow the possibility to represent a large number of tissue samples in one block and, consequently, on one slide. Typically, we prepare arrays containing 320 punches of tissue; this technique allows us to compare antibody reaction on various tissues on one slide which is cost effective saving time, antibody/reagents, and slides. The microarray block is prepared by taking 0.6mm diameter punches of tissue from donor blocks and placing them in a recipient block. This technique allows sufficient material to be represented in each punch, giving a broader view of the target tissue. For pricing, arrays are priced according to the project requested.
