"Regulations of mRNA translation in inflammatory responses" Dr. Wenqian Hu is Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  He studies how long noncoding RNAs and RNA-binding proteins regulate mammalian cell differentiation.  He recently uncovered a novel mechanism of translational repression in mouse primary macrophages during the inflammatory response (Xu Zhang et al., eLIFE e27786, 2017).
