Strain Information
Common Strain Name: HB-PLAP(A to G) Pricing and Ordering Information
Strain Nomenclature: FVB-Tg(ACTB-ALPP)03Jrst/Nci
Animal State: Cryoarchived Strains
Release Category (Required for MTA form): C1

Strain Description: Mutant plap gene with A to G transition mutation in a spice acceptor site resulting in a non-functional plap gene product. The transgenic mouse reports G to A transition mutations by reverting the plap transgene to wildtype. Histological assay of heat stable alkaline phosphatase activity detects G to A transition mutations in all tissues of the animal. Useful for detecting mutation distribution resulting from genetic defects and environmental exposure to mutagens.
