The 2016 Science Jeopardy Tournament definitely is the highlight of my internship thus far, and I am glad that the Scientific Library has provided this opportunity for interns and the NCI community to come together for recreation for the last ten years.

I am grateful for the fellow interns in my lab and my mentor Dr. Lorena Parlea, who took time out of their busy schedules to attend the tournament and offer their support. Of course, I would not have been able to compete in the tournament without being an intern, so I dedicate my part of our team’s win to my lab for allowing me to intern in the first place.

I am thankful that I had Evan Yamaguchi as my partner. He definitely kept me on my toes and came up with an excellent game plan. His efforts were integral to our success, and I hope to collaborate more often with him in the future.

I wish the best to my fellow competitors in their academic and vocational futures. Their amazing display of knowledge truly provided all of us with a memorable ten-year anniversary tournament.

Last but not least, the event could not have taken place without support from organizers, judges, sponsors, and spectators, so I must thank those who made the Tournament possible.
