Nikhil joined our group as part of the Werner H Kirsten SIP program and has been studying storage protocols for skin biome samples. Madelyne contacted me last spring about
joining our group as special volunteer and is updating the Breast Cancer Information Core's website to include some new tools for visualizing polymorphisms in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes.
Both have done very well this summer. In the short time they've been here we have thrown a lot of new information at them, but they are quick to learn and apply what
we've taught them. They are definitely two of the better students I've had over the years!
