Daily Science News Service
The Scientific Library offers a daily service to help NCI at Frederick employees stay current with science news. The Daily Science News Service is an email service. Library staff maintains a list of email addresses of interested NCI at Frederick people. Each day the staff sends out emails about current issues on science, health, NCI at Frederick, and the federal government to that list of people. The topics are wide-ranging, and come from a variety of sources. The service is designed to help recipients stay informed on current scientific topics.
The number of daily emails varies between 10-25, with more emails going out on Mondays due to the weekends. The emails are sent throughout the work day and are not contained in digest form. Email addresses are sent via the “Blind CC” (Bcc) option to maintain anonymity. This service is designed as a group email list, and is not a listserv.
