    new isoflavan, (3R)-6,2'-dihydroxy-7-methoxy-4',5'-methylenedioxyisoflavan, hildegardiol (1), and two known flavonoids, 2-hydroxymaackiain (2) and farrerol (3), were isolated from the antifungal root extract of Hildegardia barteri. The pterocarpan 2 was largely responsible for the observed antifungal activity
