Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007
The Energy Independence and Securities Act of 2007, enacted to promote greater
energy independence and security. Included in this Act were guidelines to increase
the production of clean renewable fuels, improve standards for lighting and appliance
energy efficiency and to promote research and development for greenhouse gas capture
and storage options.
