The Laboratory of Proteomics and Analytical Technologies (LPAT) offers a variety of core services. To order services, please submit an electronic request via CSAS; or to discuss the project scope and design, please contact the appropriate LPAT service lead.

Mass Spectrometry (MS) 

  • Protein¬†identification
  • Identification of protein modifications
  • Characterization of protein complexes
  • Characterization of complex (e.g. serum, tissue, cell lysates) proteomes
  • Global comparative proteomic quantitation
  • Biomarker discovery
  • Available instrumentation include FTICR-MS, Orbitrap-MS, LTQ-MS and TSQ-MS

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)

  • 1D spectra with water/solvent suppression (1H, 13C, 15N, 19F, 31P)
  • Consultation and data interpretation
  • Engineering/hardware support
  • Implementation of standard and custom pulse sequences
  • Metabolite profiling (metabolomics) of human biofluids
  • NMR and ESR electronic design improvements
  • Structure determination of unknown compounds
  • Available instrumentation include 500MHz NMR and 200MHz NMR
Separations and Assay Development 

  • Customized assay development for your compound(s) of interest in different matrices
  • Metabolite profiling (metabolomics) using HPLC-MS¬†and GC/MS
  • Purity determination of natural products, proteins, peptides, and monoclonal antibodies
  • Separation and quantitation of estrogen metabolites from human biofluids and tissue

Protein Complex Characterization/Isolation
