Shipping Samples to ATP Laboratories
The SAIC-F Mail Courier and/or Delivery Drivers currently conducts daily pick-up and delivery of non-hazardous parcels and mail at the Advanced Technology Research Facility (ATRF) between 10:15 and 10:45am. Upon return to the Transportation area, parcel(s) are processed for same-day delivery to the NIH Main campus, and next day delivery throughout the FNL.
Shipping hazardous materials to/from the ATRF requires the shipper to utilize the Shipping Wizard tool for the transport of samples and hazardous materials (http://www.ncifcrf.gov/campus/safety/wizard/). Shipping hazardous materials requires that an Environmental Heath and Safety classify the materials prior to the courier coming to the site to properly package and label the materials for transport, per DOT, state and local regulations.
