Event Description

The recent introductions of West Nile, Chikungunya, and Zika viruses into the Americas illustrate the potential for exotic viruses to be introduced into the Americas and the potential harm that they might do. This presentation will cover a few of the viruses that I believe pose the greatest risk of introduction and spread withing the continental United States and include Rift Valley fever, Venezuelan equine encephalitis, Japanese encephalitis, Madariaga, and Oropouche viruses. SEATING IS LIMITED.
