Event Description

The HIV Dynamics and Replication Program (HIV DRP) with support from Hye Kyung Chung-Derse and NCI will host the Annual David Derse Memorial Lecture and Award. This lecture is to honor Dr. David Derse’s outstanding research accomplishments and to stimulate the exchange of innovative ideas that he was well known for promoting throughout his scientific career. We are planning this as a hybrid in-person/virtual event. Wesley I. Sundquist, Ph.D. (Leo T. & Barbara K. Samuels Presidential Chair, Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry, University of Utah) will deliver the 14th lecture in this series on September 22, 2026, titled “Structure, Function, and Inhibition of the HIV Capsid” .
