NCI Shady Grove Campus

The purpose of this retreat is to lay the foundation for the 3rd NIH Consensus Conference. The retreat will include national and international experts in chronic GvHD discussing the key priorities for future research. This research is critical for enhancing the success of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. Our main goal of the retreat, in contrast to prior consensus conferences, is not to standardize clinical research tools but to create a process which will allow to implement fundamental changes in chronic GVHD treatment and prevention.

Summary of Proposed Goals for the November 2019 NIH chronic GvHD Planning Meeting

  1. Establish the goals of the 2020 3rd NIH Consensus conference
  2. Develop the topics and tentative working group members and chairs
  3. Determine working group action plans and deliverables prior to the 2020 meeting
  4. Establish a process for integration and oversight of the working groups for the work that will be performed in preparation for the 2020 meeting
