The second annual NCI Symposium on Mechanisms of Cancer Drug Resistance and Sensitivity will be held on October 4-5, 2018 at the National Cancer Institute – Shady Grove campus: 9609 Medical Center Drive, Rockville, MD 20850 in room TE406/408/410.  The Symposium will bring together research scientists, cancer clinicians, pharmaceutical companies, NIH grant recipients, and NCI staff to highlight and discuss research on sensitivity to specific types of therapy, circumventing the development of cancer resistance to drugs, and effectively treating cancers which have become refractory to treatment.  The overall goal of the Symposium is to feature preclinical research focused on innovative strategies to understand and combat mechanisms of tumor resistance and to exploit tumor sensitivity to anti-cancer therapies.
