Shuttles to/from Metro

Shady Grove Metro Station to NIST

NIST provides shuttle service for official visitors and staff to and from the Shady Grove Metro Station. Visitors using Metro can meet the NIST shuttle at the east side of the Shady Grove Metro station at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. The shuttle runs daily from 6:45am until 6:10pm. The NIST shuttle will stop at Bus Bay C.

NIST Shuttle from Shady Grove Metro Station

The shuttle departs from the front of the NIST Administration Building to the Shady Grove Metro station at 5 and 35 past the hour. The last shuttle leaves NIST at 6:00pm.

The ride between NIST and the Shady Grove Metro station takes approximately 15 minutes. Please visit the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority site for specific walking directions and other Metro-related information.

Shuttles from NCI Campuses

Bethesda, Main Campus

  • Shuttle picks up at Kiss and Ride parking lot on South Drive (just off Rockville Pike, across from the NIH Medical Center Metro Station)

8:00 AM - Depart NIH Medical Center Metro (drive time to NIST is about 20 minutes)

6:45 PM - Depart NIST

Frederick

  • Shuttle picks up at Building 549 Parking Lot, 9000 Veterans Drive, Frederick MD.

7:30 AM - Depart NCI Frederick (drive time to NIST is about 50 minutes)

6:45 PM – Depart NIST
