Therapeutic Interventions and Resistance Mechanisms

549 Conference Center

Dear Colleagues:

We are pleased to announce that a conference on Therapeutic Interventions and Resistance Mechanisms will be held at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) campus in Frederick, Maryland on October 22, 2019 from 10:00 am to 5:45 pm.

The HIV Dynamics and Replication Program (HIV DRP), Center for Cancer Research, NCI is organizing this conference to showcase the latest findings in the broad field of drug resistance in the context of infectious agents and cancer. An in-depth discussion of recent progress in our understanding of resistance mechanisms should lead to new insights into the development of more effective therapeutic interventions, which will aid international public health efforts.

Confirmed speakers in this outstanding program include H. Clifford Lane (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH), Silvia Bertagnolio (World Health Organization), Eric Freed (HIV DRP, NCI), Shyam Kottilil (Institute of Human Virology and University of Maryland School of Medicine), Robert Bonomo (Case Western Reserve University), Bree Aldridge (Tufts University School of Medicine and School of Engineering), Jeanne Marrazzo (University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine), David Sullivan (Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health), and Lawrence Fong (University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine).

There is no registration fee, but participants are encouraged to register in advance, as seating is limited. A live-streamed and archived videocast of the conference will be available on the NIH Videocast website at https://bit.ly/2GWDsg0.

We hope you will be able to join us on October 22!
