We're happy to announce the deployment of the new NCI at Frederick Events Calendar. All employees can now enter their own events, request to change, cancel, and/or delete their own events, and duplicate any event for fast and easy resubmission.

Upcoming Conferences

The NCI at Frederick provides conference support for programs that fall within the Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC), Operations and Technical Support (OTS) contractor’s statement of work.

Upcoming Seminars and Lectures

To view a particular seminar or lecture series, our new calendar features a custom filter. Simply check the appropriate Event Type or Event Series in the left filtering options. You may also select to view by day, week or month.

Submitting Events to the Calendar

The events calendar displays on multiple pages, including the home page. NCI at Frederick staff may now submit events to be added to the calendar by:

  • Navigate to any events calendar page.
  • Make sure you are logged in with your NIH AD account.
  • Click on the blue "Add a New Event" button on the top right of the page.

Most events will require the following informaiton to be submitted for approval, so please have the following ready:

  • Event title (exactly as you woud like it to appear)
  • Web site address for registration or more information
  • Event date(s) and time(s)
  • Event location
  • Event sponsor (if applicable)
  • Event contact information (if other than yourself)

Spring Research Festival

The goal of the festival is to acquaint our neighbors -- scientists, citizens, and especially students -- with the nature of our research, the discoveries we have made, and the challenges we face in the fight against cancer, AIDS and other infectious diseases worldwide. The Spring Research Festival is open to all in the NIH and the Fort Detrick communities as well as to the public.

Take Your Child to Work Day

The purpose of TYCTWD is to introduce children, ages 6 to 13, to the vital public services that their parents provide in support of the NCI-Frederick's/Fort Detrick's mission and to encourage future careers in science. All employees are welcome to bring their children, ages 6 to 13, to work on this day if approved by the employee's supervisor and safety rules are followed.
