Annual Children's Book Swap

Visit the Scientific Library in Building 549 during the day and take home some FREE BOOKS! We encourage children to bring in books from home that they no longer need and swap them for some "new" books to read. Even if you don't have books to swap, you can still come in and take home some FREE BOOKS!

Picture yourself as a scientist! Scientific Publications, Graphics & Media staff will help you get "inside" a scientist's head. Get your picture taken, but with a twist—your head on a scientist’s body! Your picture will sent to your parent or guardian within 24 hours.

R.E.A.D. Therapy Dogs

R.E.A.D. dogs are therapy animals that are trained to sit quietly while children read aloud to them. The dogs create a safe, non-threatening environment for reading, so children gain confidence in their reading abilities.
