Do you want to improve the quality, sharing, and re-use of biomedical data produced from your research? Join the Scientific Library in February and March for the Data Science Winter Webinar Series.
The Scientific Library will show six recorded educational webinars from the Big Data to Knowledge (BD2K) Guide to the Fundamentals of Data Science Series. Topics range from data sharing and reproducibility to data workflows and pipelines. A brief discussion will take place after each webinar to connect these concepts to your current research.
A capstone panel discussion with members of the Advanced Biomedical Computational Science (ABCS) group will be held at the end of the series to discuss their experiences using data science in biomedical research.
Each webinar will be shown four times weekly—on Mondays and Tuesdays in Building 549 at NCI at Frederick and on Thursdays and Fridays at the Advanced Technology Research Facility (ATRF). The series will begin on Monday, February 3, and will conclude on Friday, March 13. Each webinar will begin at 11:00 a.m. and run approximately 60 minutes, with the 10-minute discussion afterwards. You may bring your lunch to this program.
The Capstone Panel Discussion will be held on Tuesday, March 24, at 12:00 p.m. in the Scientific Library’s Technology Training Lab in Building 549, with online access available through WebEx.
