Summer has officially begun, and that means two of the Scientific Library’s most popular events—the Summer Video Series and the Student Science Jeopardy Tournament—are right around the corner.

This year, the Library is showing Blue Planet II, a seven-part series from the BBC that highlights the incredible landscapes and creatures that make up Earth’s oceans. The Summer Video Series will be broadcast at both the Advanced Technology Research Facility (ATRF) and NCI at Frederick from noon to 1:00 p.m. on select days throughout July and August. The schedule for the Video Series appears at the end of this post.

The 12th annual Student Science Jeopardy Tournament is scheduled for July 25, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Building 549 auditorium. The event is open to the public and will also be videocast to the ATRF on the first floor.

Teams of two (high school and undergraduate students and interns only) are welcome to compete. Registration is open until July 18 or until the maximum 10 teams are registered; anyone interested in participating can go here to register. All others are welcome to attend and cheer on the students.
