Biotech Connector Reimagines the Future of Gene and Cell Therapies

The recent Biotech Connector showcased exciting advancements in gene and cell therapies in the Frederick area. More than 80 attendees gathered in-person and online to hear experts in the field discuss their work manufacturing difficult therapies for clinical trials, reimagining the supply chain to reduce development timelines, and leveraging automation to reduce risk and save money. By capturing these advances, the Biotech Connector aims to serve as a forum that inspires partnerships and the sharing of ideas.

Technology Showcase Team Blends New and Old Approaches for 2024 Event

After eight years, the annual Technology Showcase isn’t showing any signs of slowing. In fact, according to members of the planning committee, there are still abundant opportunities to do more. The 2024 Tech Showcase, the eighth annual, will be held at FNL’s Advanced Technology Research Facility on September 4.

An Inspiring New Patent Wall Recognizing Meaningful Contributions

The Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNL) has a new installation: a wall featuring 34 plaques highlighting patents granted to FNL researchers in recognition of their inventions and the breakthrough work being done at the laboratory. The “Innovations in Research” wall represents the mission of FNL staff to address some of the most urgent challenges in the biomedical sciences.
