Sleep is a vital but often overlooked aspect of our daily routines. We all want to feel rejuvenated in the morning, but as work and school become increasingly demanding, too many of us neglect proper rest to make time for more “productive” hours.
The Scientific Library’s 19th Annual Book & Media Swap is coming up, where NCI at Frederick staff can donate books, DVDs, or CDs and trade for other donated books and multimedia. Collection for the book swap will begin on Monday, September 30, and continue throughout October, leading up to opening day on Wednesday, October 30.
Each summer, dozens of students from the Werner H. Kirsten and Summer Internship Programs who have been hard at work under the supervision of seasoned scientists and mentors gather to share their research with the NCI at Frederick and Frederick National Laboratory community. Over two days in late July, 46 students ranging from high school to graduate school presented their findings to mentors, scientists, and their fellow interns at the NCI at Frederick campus and the Advanced Technology Research Facility.
The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Department processes and completes roughly 25,000 work orders every year through our preventative maintenance program, trouble calls, special assists, and repairs.
